Intro
At the end of my articles about the anniversary we see the Transall again, and now for the last time before it is retired and shut down.
Zum Schluß meier Artikel über das Jubiläum sehen wir noch einmal die Transall, und nun zum letzten Mal bevor sie ausgemustert und stillgelegt wird.
The last appearance
The old lady approached with a deep hum to show us once again her incredible short-distance take-off. On the runway, after reaching the eastern end, a 180 degree turn was made, accelerated and lifted off without further waiting time. With a taxiing distance of 700 meters, that is a remarkable achievement for such a large aircraft.
Der letzte Auftritt
Mit einem tiefen Brummen näherte sich die alte Dame um uns noch einmal ihren unglaublichen Kurzstreckenstart zu zeigen. Auf der Landebahn wurde nach Erreichen des östlichen Endes eine 180 Grad Dreheung hingelegt und ohne weitere Wartezeit beschleinigt und abgehoben. Mit 700 Metern Rollstrecke ist das für solch ein großes Flugzeug schon eine beachtliche Leistung.

There is no question that the 11,000 hp in connection with the large propellers make a lot of noise, the successor, the A400, is a bit quieter.
Das die 11000 PS in Verbindung mit den großen Propellern für viel Lärm sorgen steht ausser Frage, der Nachfolger, die A400 ist da etwas leiser.
My last picture that day, unfortunately the memory card was now full, so I was able to watch the Transall take off without distraction.
Mein letztes Bild an diesem Tag, leider war nun die Speicherkarte voll, das Abheben der Transall konnte ich somit ohne Ablenkung verfolgen.
