It was another beautiful morning here in Truckee, California! I happen to be in Downtown Truckee a bit before sunrise so the sky was a great shade of blue. And we got a dusting of snow last night so the roads were a bit wet and reflecting the light of Truckee. I had the Canon camera with me so of course, I had to pull over and get a quick photo on my way to my destination. Glad I did, because I really like the look of this shot! The contrasting colors of the cool sky and the warm lights behind the constraining colors of the red and white gas station came together very nicely.
Shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 24-105mm lens, handheld, no tripod. The camera's ISO was 3200, the lens aperture was f/4.0, and it was 1/80 of a second exposure.
And here's a quick YouTube short of the scene.
I've actually got some great news to announce soon. I'll be officially launching my new website in a few days!!! For now, here's a sneak peak. There will probably be a few changes, but the incredible shopping cart is all set up and working and I can have prints shipped world wide! - New Website
(Edit - the link has been fixed... Doh!)
If you happen to check out the website, please let me know if you find any glitches or errors... Thank you, and thank you for checking out this new photo! Have a great day out there!
