Happy Easter! Usually, I think of fresh colorful Spring flowers when I think of Easter. But nope, not this year! We've been getting more fresh snow lately. The never ending Winter... Well, I tried to make the best of it and got out for a little cross-country ski adventure with the Canon camera this morning. It was beautiful out! I got a couple "keeper" shots at Donner Creek. The water from Donner Lake flows out of the lake via this creek, and it ends up in the Truckee River. It's not the most photogenic creek in the area, however, when it has fresh snow, it can look incredible!
I've been wanting to get more photos of Donner Creek, in celebration of a new exhibit that I will be installing soon. I have a few metal prints ordered that will soon be up on the walls of Donner Creek Brewery. More about that to come...
Both of these were shot with the Canon 5DS R and a 16-35mm lens. The camera's ISO was 200, the shutter speed was 1/200 of a second, and the lens apertures were f/10 and f/8. Nothing special with the settings, and no lens filters or tripod. It was the scenery that was special.
Hope you are all having a great day, even if you don't celebrate Easter!
