Yesterday was the perfect weather to form big icicles in the trees. My neighborhood was looking magical, sparkling everywhere you looked. Today, most of the ice has melted or fallen out of the trees, along with the fresh snow. Fortunately, I shot a few photos when everything was still looking it's best. This little scene is from a tree in my neighbor's yard, it was the the most photogenic icicle I could find.
Shot with a Canon 5DS R and a 100-400mm lens, set to 400mm. A tripod and a shutter release cable were used, but no lens filters. ISO 100, the lens aperture was f/18, and the exposure time 1/60 of a second.
And these driveway/street pics below were shot a bit after the icicle photo fun. That's Quill dog sitting there, the snow is deep!
Thank you for looking and I hope you area all having a great weekend!
