After an early morning business networking meeting today, I decided to take a quick drive to Donner Lake before heading back home. The clouds finally cleared up a bit and it's not snowing! I love the snow, but I am happy to get a break from all the snow removal.
Again, there really isn't many areas to park around town, but there were a couple parking spots by the Donner Lake docks again. My original plans for going up to Donner Summit changed when I saw that the road was closed and still had a few feet of snow on it. It might be a few days before I can make it up there again... So another dock photo, they tend to sell fairly well as fine art prints so I am always happy to shoot more.
Shot on a Canon 5DS R with a 24-105mm lens, set at 58mm. The ISO was 100, the lens aperture was f/18, and the shutter speed was 1/200 of a second. Handheld exposure, I had to climb up and over a big snow berm for this shot so it was a lot easier to leave the tripod in the car. No lens filters either.
So... I've mentioned a few times in my posts that there isn't much parking around town. I decided to take a quick shot of the road along Donner Lake. Yup, this is how most of the roads around Truckee, California look right now. No parking.
We're supposed to get about 5 more inches of fresh snow tomorrow. Then we get a break for a long while, good because I need it!
Thank you for looking and I hope you are all having a great day.
