You win some, and you lose some... I was hoping for a more colorful sunrise but it was snowing a bit heavier than originally forecasted. I did see a bit of pink to the sky but it was not in the direction I chose for a composition. I'll admit, I don't think this is going to be my next best seller, but it's still a nice scene and I got up super early for it so I'm sharing it.
This is the Truckee River, in Downtown Truckee, California. I've shot this scene many times before over the years, today I thought I'd gamble on this location again since we are having a nice snowstorm and everything is looking pretty and like a winter wonderland again. Not a huge payoff but I'm happy enought with it.
Shot on a Canon 5DS R and a 24-105mm lens, set at 88mm. The ISO was 320, the aperture was f/22, and it was a 15 second exposure. A tripod was used, no filters were used.
Alright, I have a lot on my to-do list today. Back to it...
