Walking around Valletta
I could walk for hours in the streets of Valletta in Malta and that's exactly what I did. In case, you have missed it, I will be working on a full post about Valletta and the day I have spent in it but in the meanwhile, I have been separating some of the photos to share with you in here.
Since there are so many photos I love and want to show you, from this amazing place. I can't wait for you to see these. Some details from the streets while I was walking around.
I have visited Malta in January, not the high season, and the Summer weather was not quite there yet, but the few days I spent in Malta, I was very lucky to get beautiful, warm, and sunny days. No matter what the streets would look fantastic. But let me tell you that having the sun shining on the architecture with all those warm tones makes everything look even more fantastic.
I think one of the main reasons I might have found the streets and the architecture so pretty, is the fact that I have been living in the UK for the last 12 years, and although the architecture here is really cute is very different from what I was used to.
And in this case, if just like me, you were born or live in a Mediterranean country, for sure you get those vibes from the streets in Malta. And it doesn't get more Mediterranean than a beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.
Do I have any other Mediterranean People in here who get what I mean when looking at the photos of these streets? I am curious to see if the point comes across.
Everything is so similar but when you look at it closely, all the small details are completely different and that's what makes it so interesting.
Obviously, not good for the country, but you might notice a lot of abandoned buildings and places. Those really give a lot of character to the streets. Sadly, not good for the country. But we might enter more in-depth into that on the full post that I am working on.
While I was in Valletta, the "corner monster" kind of came back to life. There was a time a few years ago that I was kind of obsessed with capturing buildings on street corners.
And here I was walking around Valletta, taking photos, not even noticing I was doing it. Only when I got home and looked at the photos I see that the obsession had returned. And in all honesty, I am glad the buildings called me like that.
This whole experience of traveling alone to a place that I have never been before really changed my life and left me wondering if I should do it more often. This was a wild completely unplanned trip. I have budget it as much as I could but still the experience was so worth it.
I don't need to travel fancy, so what do you think? Should I try to have more travels like this? And do you prefer the written blog posts, the photos or videos? Because when you are travelling alone, I was not sure what do you guys would prefer to see.
Have you enjoyed all these details from Valletta? If so, there are some other posts on my feed that you can check out and also, remember, there are more to come. Including an even longer format blog where I go more in-depth about this day spent in Valletta.
Keep your eyes open for new content from Malta and possibly some other travels.
