Cathedral Cove is located in the southern part of Mercury Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula, North Island, New Zealand. There is a wonderful rock arch through which you can see Te Hoho Rock — a beautiful sight.
You can walk through this arch-tunnel and imagine that you actually find yourself in wonderful Narnia — well, at least it happened so during the filming of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" there :)
At low tide, you can walk here almost without getting your feet wet, at high tide you should definitely take off your shoes — but aren't the gentle ocean waves pleasant in themselves?
A very scenic trail from a settlement of Hahei leads here, it is about 1.7 km long, if you do not turn off anywhere — but I will tell you more about the trail, the cove and its surroundings later. And this post is my entry for the SEAPHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST.
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
