Dense, heavy clouds are moving in, clinging to the peaks of the Pamir Mountains, but the low sun is trying to break through the clouds with its last rays. It seems as if the light is streaming straight from the top of the mountain, as if a volcano is erupting from the other side.
We stood on the border of two countries: our feet were on the territory of Tajikistan, but we were looking at Afghanistan. Directly below us is the Wakhan valley, the river below is called Pyanj. The border between the countries runs right along the river.
The colors of the sunset change over time, but it is still a majestic and mesmerizing sight. I can enjoy such views endlessly!
