Good evening Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, as I continue this trip across country and while we were driving on Old Route 66 and we had to stop here, not only for the old town scenery which will be on the next post of the trip shot series but we had to stop here for lunch, Roadkill Cafe. I'll tell you this, it was the best decision we made food wise on the entire trip. I had a burger and fries, it was absolutely amazing and so refreshing to eat such a burger. This place is in Seligman Arizona and if your ever passing through this spot, I highly recommend this being your destination for food, don't let me forget they make awesome home baked pie's too. So if your into that kind of thing, it wont disappoint too. Seligman in Yavapai County, in northwestern Arizona, United States. The population was 456 at the 2020 census and it was the home of the Havasupai people, a long time homeland in this region, I sure wish I had more time here because I know their is ancient sites here you can walk to and view how the people here once lived. I have indigenous blood in me and it saddens me because to me this is still there land but I know how it is to them, as me, land of mother earth isn't nor cannot be owned. Would be an epic hike and adventure one day if I ever do get to go back and do it. Back to the shot's, the first shot here is an old painted water tank, its hilarious and no they do not feed anyone roadkill. Such a funny and cool slogan. You kill it, we grill it, haha.
For the second shot here, you wont miss this place, it is bright red and you will see it as you pass by for sure.
This next shot here was a pretty cool man made art piece at the entrance of the Cafe, such a cool piece and I always wonder how much time it took to make it.
As for this shot, it was next to Roadkill Cafe on the street side, an Elk or Reindeer I suppose but another cool sculpture. I didn't get the entire thing due to all kinds of stuff all around it made it look to busy to me. This shot will do for now.
Last shot incoming, just thought this close up of the artwork on the water tank looked pretty cool, so why not add it.
Wait wait wait, lets add these last five shot's to this post so we got it all complete here and these shot's were taken with the smartphone. We got the menu shot's, yes I had the Swirl of Squirrel Burger with fries and it comes on some toasted Texas Toast, sure set it off and way better than a bun. Little short on the fries to be honest though but to wash it down with some good old fashioned Route 66 Root Beer. That is always a must for me because I am a big root beer fan. Anwys, now take care and thanks for stopping by once again.
Anyways appreciate everyone feedback hope you have enjoyed my shots and post today' thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed one and thank you for coming in and checking out my shot's of the day. Stay tuned and enjoy my future shots in the world of photography, thru my lens.
