Good Morning photography world and Hive Family, today's bird feature is the Western Kingbird (Tyrannus verticalis) which is a large flycatcher and I'll tell you what, every since I got to shooting bird photography one of the hardest things to know is what birds are what because their are so many bird species and colors. Crazy right, well going thru so many to try and identify this bird, I came up that it is a Western Kingbird and if anyone else know's please let me know any different. I would greatly appreciate it due to the fact I'm still learning the process. For me it's been pretty hard to catch these small birds and hopes that I get some clear shot's, no all blurry. Most of the time these small bird never stay in one place, kinda like children bouncing around everywhere. These shot's happen to come out pretty good, not the best but I'm still a bird photographer in the making. Now this bird does look more like a light orange rather than yellow but maybe just maybe it a young one. Not to sure, again any help would help me out from any of you bird photographers out there.
These bird's are from North America and are seen all the way south of Mexico as well, they are also very territorial in nature. On the endangered list, they too are of least concern, meaning not close to even being endangered. the western is often misidentified as Cassin's kingbird, Couch's kingbird or this actually could be a Yellow Bellied Flycatcher. Very hard to determine for me. The yellow-bellied flycatcher (Empidonax flaviventris) is a small insect-eating bird of the tyrant flycatcher family. What throw's me off is the Western Kingbird looks to have a black beak and the Yellow Bellied Flycatcher seems to have the light orange type beak, so maybe this truly is a Yellow Bellied Flycatcher. They say it has a greenish color though which it doesn't so I honestly am not sure what it is. I'll go ahead and call it a Western Kingbird for now and let you all just enjoy the shot's taken at this time. Let me know if you do have a favorite shot of the photo's I posted, I do like to know what others think is the best shot. Hope you all enjoy them for this post and this time, stay tuned I'll be back with some more photography shot's and the next bird to be featured on my blog. Have a blessed one and keep shooting, get that work in.
Anyways appreciate everyone feedback hope you have enjoyed my shots and post today' thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed one and thank you for coming in and checking out my shot's of the day. Stay tuned and enjoy my future shots in the world of photography, thru my lens.
