Good Morning photography world and Hive Family, today's bird feature is the Anna's Hummingbird (Calypte anna) and this post will be of the female/immature male of these awesome hummingbird's. I will have a part two of the Anna's Hummingbird and that one I am very excited to show off, for it is of the adult male with the shinny pink, gold and green head. These were actually my first decent shot's of a hummingbird and the other post will be of another location and a good story to go with it as well. All these shot's are of the same hummingbird that I got real lucky with, just being in the right spot at the right time. I was by this local pond, not close to my location but a bit of a drive and as I was walking around trying to take some shot's of birds I was just standing there at this point and boom I was right by these flower's and the hummingbird just rolled up on me. I was ready to go and got of about ten shot's, these were all the best ones of somewhat quality. The first three shot's, especially the first one I just love the background a lot, makes it seem like a painting too. Hummingbirds in flight are so hard to capture but I will keep on trying when given a chance.
On the part two I will talk about this hummingbird in a little more detail like I normally do on my posts but for now I want to save that talk for the adult male that has the shocking pink colors when the light hits them. For now I'll leave you with some of my favorite shots of the day. I'm sure glad I got these, that day it wasn't too much fun being out and these were the best birds I got that day. So I suppose it made it worth it, seeing that I haven't been close enough to hummingbirds in my couple months of bird photography. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do, appreciate all that come thru and check out my post. Have a Blessed one.
This one has to be my favorite shot, even though the wings have a slight blur to them, regardless the backdrop make me feel like this is a painting. These are the moments I wait for though, to me it is exciting to get back home and see what you really got, when putting them on the PC from the memory card.
Another favorite and I was debating on this being the cover shot, if the entire flower was captured in this one, I would've made it this one. Regardless still another nice shot of this hummingbird.
Absolutely love this one too and probably a better angle and clearer wings but I just wish it was lit up a bit more like the top one.
Another one too, with a great angle and the wings spread but again wish the backdrop was like the first shot too.
This one is nice but the wings just to blurred, still had to add it though to show off.
Another cool one here but the wings just aren't satisfying me but at least I got the full flower in it haha.
Anyways appreciate everyone feedback hope you have enjoyed my shots and post today' thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed one and thank you for coming in and checking out my shot's of the day. Stay tuned and enjoy my future shots in the world of photography, thru my lens.
