Good morning Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I got here for you all today are some new shots that I had taken on Saturday down at a great location by the beach, its Rob's Field and is were the river runs into the ocean. I finally got some real good shots of the Brown Pelican with is so amazing color change when the season comes into it. Right when I got there these guys flew right in and started diving for fish, no dive shots here today but these in flight shots I got I really like a lot. Lets get into the shots, the cover shot, the one above I like due to the fact the wings are so cool looking, the detail, the whipping of the tip of the feathers all the way up to the awesome color of this Brown Pelicans head, with the bonus yellow color on top that they get during this season. Fun facto is that Brown Pelicans shed their feathers six times since berth and the live around thirty years of age. I really like that time of season when they turn this coloration, even with them red eye lids, looks so amazing and is a big jump from their normal color, in which they really don't look that special in those times but they are always fun to watch when they are hunting for food, the dive, the splash and then the fish are so cool to witness this in wildlife. In the next shot below, it is the next shot after the cover shot, wings down, so why not post wings up in flight. They go perfectly with each other here on this post today. The detail is just amazing, and I am so glad that I wasn't running around trying to capture them, they literally came next to the rocks where I was sitting and starting doing their thing. After about ten minutes they moved further down, and further out and that was a wrap on capturing seeing they were so far away after that.
In this next shot here, you can see it wasn't diving straight down, this one was just coming in for a landing on top of the water. So many more to show but for now I got to get some work done, so stay tuned in and I hope you liked these shots here today, next post of them I will show more off, not just the three. Thanks for stopping by my blog and post, have a blessed one.
