Good evening Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I got here for you all tonight is what I have been waiting for to share to you all, previously about two weeks back I posted some perched Juvenile American Bald Eagle shot's that I got at my local lake. It was the first time in many many years one has come to that lake, which has seven different lakes and I was so excited that I got some perched shot's, however none of the in flight shot's were in focus. I was pretty bummed about it, due to the fact I wasn't sure if I was ever going to see it again. I also heard that their is actually two Juveniles that have came there from the other local photographers. Which was exciting news for me and I have been going there many times to see if I can get an opportunity again. Well It happened and I was so excited, so ready to get these shot's in this time.
So there we were, hunting for the Osprey, me and two other photographers that came down from the Los Angeles area and all of a sudden we looked up and there it was, the Juvenile American Bald Eagle flying but the bad part the crows were chasing it and what happened next was no good shot's, the crows chased it off. Now the other two photographers were able to get shot's in, one using a 600mm lens and the other an 800mm lens, as for me I'm at 400mm so it was just not enough lens to get it. As an hour past by the other two photographers were saying its not coming back but for me staying positive, I said your wrong, I know it will come back and sure enough it did. It flew right into that same tree that I got those other perched shot's in. I said lets go down there to the other guys but they weren't interested for some reason as I am. So I get down there, its a bit lower on a perch, then the previous, so I just start snapping away. I got about thirty shot's in and yes I was so ready, prepared for it to take of and get them closer in flight shot's in. All of a sudden boom, it took off and to my surprise I was ready and every single shot I took was in focus. For me I was the happiest that day, I did what I needed to do and got exactly what I wanted for staying positive and keeping it pushing.
So as I present you all my three shot's of the in flight, American Bald Eagle in which I actually have six good ones but the other three I will save for another day, another post, to me they are deserving to be split up this time. For the cover shot, the first two above are my favorite shot's I got in, I just love how the cloud is there and the Eagle is half in and half out of it. The head quality is pretty dang good as well, for me it was a surprise, it was far out from my lens but a little cropping never hurt nobody to get it closer to the viewer. Hope you all love them as much as I do, never did I think I would get a Juvenile American Bald Eagle but I always wanted to get the Eagle. So for my first time ever capturing and Eagle, a Juvenile I was satisfied. Don't get me wrong though, I want more opportunities asap.
As for the second shot below, another stunner, the way the wings are spread out and to get a head angle that is different from so many others I see with it going straight out. This Eagle right here was obviously looking at a fish or some bird for food. That is what I am waiting for next, to get the Eagle swooping into the water and grabbing a fish. My photography bucket list.
Now for the third shot, another cool angle, the way the wings are and yet his head, eyes are still in the view of the shot. I like it and I am proud to be able to get these, all good things come to those whom wait for it. Anyways, hope you all enjoyed my work today, I take a lot of time from being out in the field, to going thru 1,500 plus shot's, a small bit of editing and creating the post. I do it all for you and of course myself, for I am addicted to this. Have a blessed one to you all.
Anyways appreciate everyone feedback hope you have enjoyed my shots and post today' thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed one and thank you for coming in and checking out my shot's of the day. Stay tuned and enjoy my future shots in the world of photography, thru my lens.
