Polish photographer Jana Sojka is an established artist and, for me, the great thing about her work is the creativity of her photographic projects.
In addition, Jana manages to imprint a unique identity to her works, so that every time I lay my eyes on her photos I already know that it is an image captured by her. And this is the goal (or dream) of any artist.
When I was selecting the artists to be featured in the last issue of Mina, which dealt with street photography, I immediately thought of this unusual project by Jana. In it, she takes night photos, all from inside her car, during walks through the streets of her city.
I found this project so unprecedented and the result so powerful, that I couldn't help but invite her to be among the artists in our last edition. Lucky for us, she was on board!
I leave you below with the interview I conducted with this extraordinary artist and the photos from the "Night drives" project. I really hope you enjoy it.
