They don't demand much, what they want is to get some catches in the form of small fish and shrimp from their efforts and keep trying.
This simple life, and has a background of lack of insight in high science, is the hallmark of those small fish hunters. Every day they try and pray so that tomorrow they will get a little sustenance to be enjoyed with their families. They don't have abundant wealth, they don't have the greatest asset in their life, all they have is a glimmer of hope in living with the stagnant water in the reservoir.
