Recently I started experimenting with water drop photography using a Nikon D-800E SLR camera and a Nikon 105mm macro lens. The lens is a bit challenging to set up and get tack sharp images as its depth of field is quite narrow. Most of the drops are done at approximately one meter using two and three drops set microseconds apart. The goal is for the second drop to hit the first drop as it splashes upward. Here are a few of the results using various backgrounds.
