I really like when this big bird comes around, it usually walks the bank and looks for little fish or maybe frogs to eat. Though when I show up it gets a little camera shy and just stares at me..lol I used my tripod to get these pictures, and indeed they look better this time I think. In these pictures I got some more shots of the ducks, and some pretty pictures of sunset along with the moon showing up.

Earlier in the day I spotted those ducks again... the ducks can now be seen better, but since they always stay a few hundred feet away and are pretty small it still makes it hard to get some good pictures of them.
They swim through the lilly pads, most of them have gone dormant at this point. So its pretty easy for them to move around. I hope to see them next year when the pond is full of those lilly pads again.
We can see them looking back as they swim away. I only got a few seconds once they see me as they start swimming to the other end of the pond.
A Great Blue Heron showed up as well, probably looking for the same thing as the ducks.. tasty fish. This fresh water pond is something they show up to a lot.
It walks around but gets a little camera shy and just watches me.
Eventually it gets fed up with my presence and flies up to a near by tree.
It just sits there waiting for me to leave..lol I wait for about 5-10 minutes but it just stays there.
Coming back later I can see its back at the ponds bank.
It found a little grassy spot to walk around on.
As the sun starts to set the sky and surrounding area is casted in a pink light from the atmosphere shifting colors.
It is starting to look really pretty up in the sky.
As the sun goes down the heron stays around, but it gets harder to get any good pictures of it in the setting light.
Once the sun has mostly dropped below the horizon the presence of the moon takes over. Becoming the dominant object seen in the sky by this time.
The last few rays of the sun is casted along with the forest tree line.
Many of the trees have dropped their leaves by this time of the year so they are just sticks along the horizon.
A few clouds are hanging around making for streaks in the sky.
The moon gets brighter and brighter as more of the sunlight fades away. Partially obscured by clouds as they pass by, but soon a starry night is all that will remain up there.
