My village surrounded by lush green forest is always a treat to watch. Everything appears Green and magical. But This is the time of the year, when everything turns Orange. If you look around, we find a sea of orange colour all around. This is true magical turnaround of nature. From greeny leaves of trees to orange flower of palash.
Nature is considered vibrant, and there no better example than this. The palash flower, also known as the "Flame of the Forest," is called this due to its vibrant, fiery orange or red flowers that appear to resemble flames, especially when the tree is leafless and covered in blooms. My Dad used to say hat they used to make colour from.these flower during the Holi festival. These flowers are abundant un our region a drone view might gives a clear picture, of why it is talked flame of jungle.
I do not see any other special significance of these flower. Sometimes the palash leaves were used to make plate for meals or bowls. But these flower is true glimpse of magical nature. Here are few of the picture I clicked around while taking a stroll to the nature.
The palash tree, scientifically known as Butea monosperma is renowned for its striking, bright orange-red flowers. During the spring season, the tree sheds its leaves, and the vibrant flowers emerge, creating a visual spectacle of color that resembles a forest fire. The bright color and the way the flowers cover the tree when it is leafless has led to the tree being called the "Flame of the Forest" or "Flame Tree".
This is what makes a walk around the natural set up always pleasant.
In good faith - Peace!!
