Bei meinem ersten Besuch habe ich zunächst die Location besichtigt. Für mich war die Malzfrabrik bisher unbekannt. Hier seht ihr ein paar Beispielbilder.

Unfortunately, I did not photograph every corner of this huge building. But it should be enough for a first impression.
Leider habe ich nicht jeden Winkel dieses riesigen Gebäudes fotografiert. Aber für einen ersten Eindruck sollte es reichen.
How did I create the blue angel? / Wie habe ich den blauen Engel umgesetzt?
First I lit the angel stencil with the Sigma at 50 mm and a Convoy S2+ (light blue) and then capped the lens. Lens swap to Laowa 12 mm and tripod swap to light the scene with the funnels. After giving light to both funnels on the left and right, the camera was turned 180° and I repeated the lighting of the funnels. Done! After 350 sec. exposure time, the shot was in the box.
Als erstes habe ich die Engelsschablone mit dem Sigma auf 50 mm und einer Convoy S2+ (hellblau) eingeleuchtet und anschließend das Objektiv abgedeckt. Objektiv- und Stativwechsel, um dann die Szene mit den Trichtern zu beleuchten. Nachdem ich links und rechts beiden Trichtern Licht verpasst habe, wurde die Kamera um 180° gedreht und ich wiederholte die Beleuchtung der Trichter. Fertig! Nach 350 sec. Belichtungszeit war das Bild dann im Kasten.
I packed up my things and moved up one floor. I wanted to implement a few more picture ideas in the large, windowless hall. When I reached the top, this floating woman greeted me again. It was starting to get creepy, the old lady seemed to be following me.
Ich packte meine Sachen zusammen und bewegte mich eine Etage nach oben. Ich wollte noch ein paar Bildideen in der großen, fensterlosen Halle umsetzen. Oben angekommen, bergrüßte mich wieder diese schwebende Frau. Langsam wird es unheimlich, die Olle scheint mich zu verfolgen.

I realised the image of the "floating woman" according to the same principle as the "blue angel". Naturally in a single exposure.
Das Bild der "schwebenden Frau" habe ich nach dem gleichen Prinzip umgesetzt, wie der "blaue Engel". Selbstverstädnlich in einer einzigen Belichtung.
In another building, the so-called "turning hall", where the grain used to be turned for beer production, I took this shot.
In einer anderen Halle, der sogenannten " Wendehalle", hier wurde früher das Getreide zur Bierherstellung gewendet, habe ich dann dieses Bild umgesetzt.

A quick 3x120° rotation (with a blade) on a tripod in the next room, swapping tripods and refocusing for the turning hall. Then I painted the light trails into the scene with El wire and illuminated the hall with a blue Convoy S2.
Eine schnelle 3x120° Rotation (mit einem Blade) auf einem Stativ im Nebenraum, Stativwechsel und neu fokkusieren für die Wendehalle. Anschließend habe ich mit El wire die Lichtspuren in die Szene gemalt und die Halle mit einer blauen Convoy S2 ausgeleuchtet.

Let's move on to the most painful image of the evening, as I announced in the title of this post.
A few lines earlier I mentioned that this large hall had no windows . When I switched off my torch, I could not see the hand in front of my eyes. Normally my eyes get used to the darkness when I am outside. The moon, clouds or other ambient light always give me a sense of direction. That evening, everything was different.
Kommen wir zum schmerzhaftesten Bild des Abends, wie ich bereits in der Überschrift dieses Beitrags angekündigt habe.
Ein paar Zeilen vorher erwähnte ich, dass diese große Halle keine Fenster besaß . Wenn ich meine Taschenlampe abgeschaltet habe, sah ich die Hand vor meinen Augen nicht. Normalerweise gewöhnen sich meine Augen an die Dunkelheit, wenn ich Draußen unterwegs bin. Der Mond, die Wolken oder anderes Umgebungslicht geben mir immer eine Orientierungsmöglichkeit. An diesem Abend war alles anders.

The plan was to light the "garages" at the end of the hall in two colours with my silhouette and to turn the camera 180° with the colour change.
The problem was that I wanted to realise this image all by myself. Everyone else was off somewhere in the building doing crazy things. So I had the stupid idea of doing it on my own.😬
I set up the camera and prepared myself with the D18 and the appropriate colour filters. I got into position and triggered the camera. The first time I changed from left to right, I already had difficulties finding my ground markings again. To turn the camera, I had to go back to the camera in the dark. During one of the first attempts, I fell over the concrete things on the ground. On my last attempt, my head and hand collided with a wall. At that moment I was pretty sure I was on the right track to my spot, went off and bang. My hand was bleeding and my head was pounding. I didn't take the picture that evening, but on my second visit to the malt factory. But then with the help of @Lichtkunstfoto and without injuries.😎 Take care of yourselves!

Der Plan war es die "Garagen" am Ende der Halle in zwei Farben mit meiner Silhouette zu beleuchten und mit dem Farbwechsel die Kamera um 180° zu drehen.
Das Problem war, dass ich dieses Bild ganz alleine umsetzen wollte. Alle anderen waren selber gerade irgendwo im Gebäude unterwegs und stellten verrückte Dinge an. Also kam ich auf die bekloppte Idee das alleine in Angriff zu nehmen.😬
Ich richtete die Kamera aus und preparierte mich mit der D18 und den entsprechenden Farbfiltern. Stellte mich auf Position und löste die Kamera aus. Beim ersten Wechsel von links nach rechts hatte ich schon Schwierigkeiten meine Bodenmarkierung wieder zu finden. Um dann die Kamera zu drehen, musste ich im dunklen zurück zur Kamera. Bei einem der ersten Versuche, bin ich über die Betondinger auf dem Boden gefallen. Beim vorerst letzten Versuch kollidierte mein Kopf und die Hand dann mit einer Wand. In dem Moment war ich mir ziemlich sicher auf dem richtigen Weg zu meinem Spot zu sein, ging los und rums. Meine Hand blutete und mein Kopf dröhnte. Das Bild habe ich an dem Abend nicht mehr gemacht, sondern bei meinem zweitem Besuch in der Malzfabrik. Da dann aber mit der Hilfe von @Lichtkunstfoto und ohne Verletzungen.😎
