On a picturesque January day in 2014, the notion of visiting Lake Ebnisee with my canine companion took shape amidst the beautiful and unseasonably mild winter weather. Despite the calendar indicating winter, the day's atmosphere did not conform to typical winter expectations.
Having been a frequent visitor to the vicinity when I lived nearby, Lake Ebnisee held a special place in my routine. Once again, in January 2014, armed with my dog and camera, I found myself strolling around the lake and its surroundings, capturing moments along the way.
Before concluding our visit a few hours later, I indulged my dog in a refreshing swim. The lake, typically designated for swimming, proved to be the perfect haven for my water-loving canine. It's worth mentioning that dogs were restricted during the summer months, prompting my visits exclusively during winter. Fond childhood memories surfaced, recalling my summer excursions to the lake, a tradition that involved annual bike rides in the area. These trips always culminated at the waterfalls in Murrhardt, a tale I'll delve into and share more about on a later occasion.
