Check! Still, my favourite neighbourhood is far from home. And it's always gridlocked. I hate being stuck in traffic jams, but I especially like Hannam-dong to the extent that I visit it more than once a week. I like Hannam-dong to the extent that I often take photos outside the studio in the alleys of Hannam-dong. The same goes for Seongsu-dong. It's nice to have Seoul Forest, but the feeling of the alley behind it is also very nice. In the past, I liked Jongno, like Seochon and Bukchon, but these days, my favourite neighbourhoods are a bit closer to home.
There is a cafe in Hannam-dong that I often visit. You can see cute dogs here. Maybe because it is a dog-friendly place, most dog owners meet here after a walk.
Watching people passing by and a cup of delicious coffee simply lifts the mood. Of course, there is also the Leeum Art Museum in Hannam-dong, which I like, so you can always look at the works and get inspired. The most congested part of Seoul. But it's a city you can't give up on.
Seoul Forest is also a construction forest. There are rows of buildings so tall that you have to tilt your head all the way down to see them. At night, the lights come on one by one in the glass. What kind of life do people live inside the glass? If you take a walk thinking about this and that, you will come across a beautiful neon sign.
As you walk through the alleyways, you will come across a number of cafés that you will want to enter and be attracted by the works of art.
Of course, the streets of Seongsu-dong, including Seoul Forest and the alleys behind it, are very interesting by day and night.
If I have good stamina, I want to take pictures for a few hours, rest in a nearby cafe, then change another angle of view or film/digital media to record this neighbourhood with photographs for several more hours. Right now I don't have the time or the stamina, but even if I had the time, I'd have the stamina... um... dreams do come true....
