It's still raining in my area for the last few weeks so there was no proper morning walk for me. I went to a nearby gym and spent half an hour there.
The rain had stopped but the sun was still playing hide and seek. I have started taking my small camera (no phone though) so I clicked a couple of pictures.
I understand that trees cannot speak or think, but we must think on their behalf and speak to society in order to protect the trees for our own survival.
But if we think with a trees Mind, thinking like a tree! What would we say? Something like this perhaps!!!
Then I saw a tree cut down by the owner and a weird idea came to my mind. I thought if these trees could express themselves what would they say! I thought about my house back in my workplace and found out an image from my album.
I remember the beautiful sound of wind and trees at Orion Beach along the Pacific Ocean
A short video I made during my morning walk
I wonder if I were a tree how I would react to the way the trees are being cut down-
Do you care to listen to my reaction?
Think green for your future generations.
When I recall those golden days,
The breeze was cool and the rays were warm,
The greenery was spread all around,
The trees around me were quite healthy and sound,
The men used to sit under me for shelter and rest.
And when I think about it,
If the trees were to react,
They would have said something like this.
Now that the golden era has almost faded out,
Since the men have so ruthlessly chopped us down,
Where there were forests, now you can see factories or skyscrapers,
Since man has not taken our care, poisonous gases have filled the air,
Finally, if the man does not reconsider and begins to care for us,
Nature will not be the same as it used to be kind and fair.
As I saw from my backyard
So what should we do? It doesn’t sound simple asking for donations from community members for a noble cause, but the future of mankind lies in it. So if you have to do it, do it.
So what we can do to create awareness among the local population is to organize local level plantation programs in the first phase.
In the second phase, we can also contribute by talking to neighbors, our own children, and friends, and spreading the mission in schools, offices, and parks on a wider scale.
In front of my house
We should avoid fancy propaganda but concentrate on ground realities, because most such programs end up as picnic outings, a couple of photos, small news items on the fourth or fifth page of a local newspaper, and that’s about all.
We must take up this matter seriously if we feel serious about our coming generations.
##ThursdayTreeLove by but I have posted a few under this category with her permission.
Starting with this one
And this
Then
I have my plan to request Tacy to make it a full community. I am sure many #photography community members will join hands and spread awareness to save trees and the environment.
Thank you all for reading
