Early morning by the docks

As Much as I enjoy getting out for walks on the various beaches, walkways and parks here being at one with nature, I do occasionally enjoy a walk down by the port and the docks here, always some activity going on and looking for new shots or perspectives.

Occasionally I detour from the docks and take a walk in the historic district, which has no relevance to this post, but I was just thinking that back when I was working at this time of year I was racing all around NYC each morning to catch all the festive window displays, so maybe its Missing my photo walks around NYC that leads me to the docks and downtown in the Historic district.

But Like I said I wondered off in my thought at a total 180 turn from what this post is about so let me get back on trach, or should I say back on the docks where I took these shots.
I am always looking for something new and on a recent walk, I saw the red lights in the cabin, or is it control room of this ship.

Its the lightship Nantucket which I have shared many shots of before but its so eye catching I cannot resist taking photos of it, At Lunch with Lulus son and his wife the other day, Mark told us that he went on there once when it was open to the public and apparently it has been done up real nice and is very stately and plush, if or when they open it up for visits again I must go and check it out
