Knowles beach at Sunrise

For todays post I am sharing some shots from a visit to What I think is called Knowles beach, which is in Dartmouth MA, maybe a 20 minute drive from my house, it is across the road from a trail area called Knowles reserve

It is across the water from Padanaram Village on a Bridge you can see in the first image and the lights of the village across the water

Mostly its a rocky beach with some sandy spots, behind me as I took this shot is a wired off area to protect the plovers that nest there

here you can see what I mean about it being very rocky for the most part, and also often byt he water in the mornings when I go there there are a lot of little bugs flying around, this beach is one of the worst for that, I recently bought a mosquito head cover thingy and made use of it the morning i took this walk, keeps the bugs out of your face and ears

and more yachts in the water here in front of the New Bedford yacht club, which is actually in Dartmouth a neighboring city, but I have seen a map referring to greater New Bedford, which includes not only New Bedford, but Dartmouth Acushnet Fairhaven and a few other cities, I am not sure where that term comes from, but I suspect its a term from quite a while back
