This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.
For this weeks post, I am sharing some shots taken of a walk around Fairhaven, a neighboring town to New Bedford, not a big town the population is around 16,000, compared to New Bedford where I live with a population over 100,00o.
But it is a charming area to walk, well at the least the part I explored recently lots of historic buildings and churches ( which I will share in another post sometime) but for this post being a market Friday I will focus on shops.
Starting with the Post office, which I did pop into to get some international stamps over a month ago, and there still sitting on our dining table, time slipped by and we never got around to sending out Christmas Cards last year, well at least we prepared with cards and stamps for the end of this year

I am not sure what this building is used for these days the writing above the doorway says the Fairhaven Institute for savings so I guess it was a Bank at some stage and still may be

Next up this building with a couple of shops at ground level, but what caught my eye is that blue bin on a green stand I saw a couple of those on the walk, and if they are rubbish bins, they have a unique style to them, I guess could be handy if your driving by with some rubbish in your car, you can pull over and with the angle easily throw your rubbish into them, but I feel that's not the real purpose of them

Next up we have the little village cafe, I was a bit peekish at the time and considered popping in to see what they had, but this was a quick walk and then I was picking up Lulu from an appointment as we were going for lunch so I showed some self control and walked on by.

And the last shot, of this building which is a Chinese Restaurant, as it happened we did pick up Chinese for lunch that day, but from one closer to home.
In the background you can see one of the Churches there, but like I said will share shots of it ina future post.
