The Cuttyhunk Ferry Company that operates out of New Bedford run by a couple Captain Joe Billings and his wife Sue, Captain Joe has been in the Maritime Industry for over 35 Years.
They offer Spring trips four times a week Friday through Monday and in Summer open up to 7 days a week going to no surprise Cuttyhunk Island which I had never heard of till preparing this post. but from Wikipedia I found this
Cuttyhunk Island is the outermost of the Elizabeth Islands in Massachusetts. A small outpost for the harvesting of sassafras was occupied for a few weeks in 1602, arguably making it the first English settlement in New England. Cuttyhunk is located between Buzzards Bay to the north and Vineyard Sound to the south. Penikese Island and Nashawena Island are located to the north and east respectively.
The island has a land area of 580 acres (0.91 sq mi; 2.3 km2), and a population of 52 persons as of the 2000 census. It is the fourth largest in area of the Elizabeth Islands and home to the village of Cuttyhunk. It lies entirely within the town of Gosnold
An Adult return trip ticket tot he island costs $62
I also found they do Seal Watch Cruises for $45 including lunch provided, that I would love to do one day, on my own as I know no way would I get my wife on this boat LOL
but I think it would be awesome to see the seals, I may call them later today and see when they do the seal tours.
