For this weeks post, I ask the Question
Is it the fun of the fair or the craziness of the Carnival?
When I see this carnivals set up in various places I always find myself asking that question and for me at this age I go with the craziness, when there open and people are flocking here I for sure do not want to be there with my dislike for being in crowds and wondering how safe these rides are.
add the cost to do the rides these days even more craziness,
Apparently at this fair it was US $40 to buy a pass for kids to do the rides
As a Kid back in NZ we had fairs and Country fairs or if I remember rightly they were called A&P shows ( Agricultural and Pastoral), but even back there I really didn't like the crowds and although I visited then I stayed away from the rides but did enjoy checking out the farming displays, and the machinery and some of the sporting events they had there, I remember being fascinated by the Caber tossing at one of them, and did enter the gumboot throwing contest a few times,
But back to this fair

I was going to say I didn't go to the pair when it was crowded but in the end thats not true
When I took these photos was early morning the day before the fair opened and no one was around, but in conjunction with this fair, or as it is called the Whaling City Festival in Buttonwood Park, they have a car show on the Sunday and I popped there to check out the cars and while there I did a quick walk into the vendor area and snap a few photos before the crowds got to me and I got out of the cars as i took a bunch of photos of them.
But back to the fair rides and the shots I took that morning I thought this one was colorful and fun
