Mono Shadows and reflections
Well another Monday has rolled around, I hope everyone has had a good weekend, mine was fairly quiet pottering around the house, but I did get our Christmas tree and decorations setup with my wife so not totally unproductive.
Well keeping with my recent habit for Mondays todays post will be a another Mono photo post this week I focused on shots with Shadows or reflections, I always mean to watch out for shadows and get some shots so I can enter the Shadow Hunters contests, but I really have been slack in this regard so I don't have that many, but found a couple for this post, reflections I have always found caught my eye so have plenty of those and picked three for this post, but lets start with a couple of shots with shadows.
Starting with this shot in the back of the Rotch Jones Duff house which is a cool museum here in New Bedford MAI did enjoy the museum and seeing so much about the history of the city and area, but walking in the back with the rose gardens and walkways was quite refreshing especially as we had it all to ourselves, and I loved the shadows from the tree and this archway over the footpath

Next up is the shadow of myself and the tripod while I was taking a long exposure shot of the lighthouse and the starry sky, the reason why the shadow of the tripod is much more pronounced than my shadow is, I set the long exposure going and walked back and forth while counting the seconds wanting to try close to a minute and a half exposure
Please ignore the sky the stars of course are moving and with this long exposure they look terrible

Now reflections I do love and am always looking for them so easy to pick a few for this post, starting with the heron on the rocks and also reflected in the water by the boat launch

And the reflection of this tree in the river in one of the parks here

And in this one the reflections are not that pronounced but I like how when in mono it added a sort of magical mystical feel to this next and last image
