Monochrome Monday around the area
Good Morning, I hope you had a good weekend and wishing you a good week ahead
Our weekend was fairly quiet, my wife had 3 implants put in by the dental surgeon on Friday and wasnt feeling too comfortable so we took it pretty east for the nost part
Starting the week as I tend to do with a few monochrome images
Starting in the historic district downtown here in New Bedford,
In color this shot didnt really grab me but I decided tio see what I felt about it in Black and white, and i kind of liked it, but felt it needed a little pop, so tried making the compass thingy in color and I quite like how it came out

This next shot is from when I took a day time walk around Buttonwood Park here in New Bedford, mostly when I go there, I walk around the center of the park, but the day I took this I decided to join the many who walk the paths around the outside of the park.
There were a few people walking but mostly I got shots without people in scene, just a runner in the distance in this one

Next up I am at Haskell Gardens a small park here in New Bedford, not that well sign posted and many here do not even seem to know about it, but I like visiting there especially in spring
I share many shots of the colorful greenhouse in color, but this one I felt workd in MOnochrome

and to finish up this powerful meorial on the edge of BUttonwood Park
The memorial with a hand at Buttonwood Park in New Bedford is the Greater New Bedford Holocaust Memorial, dedicated in May 1998. Located on Rockdale Avenue near Hawthorn Street, it features a striking bronze hand reaching skyward, symbolizing hope, survival, and the resilience of the human spirit, designed by UMass Dartmouth professor Peter London
