Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Sunrises
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by
.
I know it is different for each person as to what they find sublime and beautiful, but for me the magic of a nice sunrise when I am about and about for a morning walk with my camera really captures both these themes perfectly for me.
Not saying other things aren't sublime and beautiful, as I am perhaps Mr Positive and believe there is beauty to be seen everywhere but a nice sunrise takes the cake for me.
To highlight what I mean by I try to find beauty everywhere, on a couple of trips I went on for work, I was in countries where I saw atrocities, Perhaps I should digress a little Atrocities is not a common word so I should explain that for those who may not know it an Atrocity is a particular mean or cruel act.
I won't go into explaining the things I saw, in fact I never talk about them unless with people who have been there or similar places and seen similar things, even with my wife, who knows I saw some horrible things but thats all.
Anyway back to my line of thought, even in those places when away from the horrible things, I still managed to find myself looking for the beauty of nature in other places, I'm not sure but I think those experiences actually made me look even more for beauty wherever I may be and to try and focus more on the positive things and not dwell on the dark side.
OK a long-winded intro so let's get to some photos
This first shot is on POpes Island here in New Bedford, and I have said its a spot I generally go to when I am not expecting much color when the sun rises as there is not great spots to catch it there, but sometimes Mother Nature fools me, such as it did this morning
Here I am standing near one end of the Island looking towards Fairhaven

ITs funny I should say that its not the greatest of spots to catch sunrises, but I just realised three of the shots I picked for this post are on Popes Island :)
