Well Hello There Fellow Photographers And Hivers!
A few weeks ago I saw a post where someone was doing some plant photography and I thought since it is my weak point in photography I might give it a shot or two or plenty.
Looking at the images it felt kind of dissapointing at first but as the days went by they started to grow on me and I started liking the look of them. I don't feel it's the best out there because it isn't, not by a long shot but for me it is certainly a step in the right direction.
My next step would be to visit the Botanical Gardens in my town and see what I can pull from that experience.
Well to say the very least "I Was Lucky."
I was lucky because I had the opportunity of catching a bee at the very moment I tried my plant snapping experience. Well in this case the rose bush I was trippling around trying to get that great shot that would set my heart at ease.
I did add a bit of detailing to all of the photos so that it might pop out a little more and it certainly adds that crispy look to it.
Of-course these aren't the most perfect roses you'll ever see but here by us it's the middle of winter or it was when I took these, we are now starting to exit the hardest of winter now I'm not exactly sure if roses are meant to thrive in the winter but these look pretty decent for winter time.

This Is Where The Bee Decided To Join A Photography Session.
It might be hard to see but do yourselves a favour and scroll in on these photos.
The bee is waddling around on the inside of the flower, no doubt collecting pollen or nectar. Either or it matters not to me, I'm just especially glad the little fella decided to come by and that I decided at that time I wanted to try something new.
There was two things that worked in my favour on this day. The first being the bee and the second being the sun that shone brightly on the rose bushes.

There's Our Little Friend.
I'm glad he decided to join us, I think I took more photos of the roses with the bee present than I did just taking photos of the roses.
I did want to take a great deal more but the bee flew away, probably off to the honey factory.
I did manage to get quite ALOT still.
One photo that I wish I was able to get was the bee facing towards the camera although I think that is a shot most people would wait a lifetime for and most likely one I won't be finding out of pure luck on a Saturday afternoon. I'd have to go out hunting for them.

One Thing Is For Sure. That Bee Is Digging In There.
Thinking about it while writing up this post is that this might very well have been a different bee? I mean I did lose sight of the bee quite a few times and then have it popping back up but who knows if it's really the same bee?
When I first saw the bee I had no idea that he would be giving me such beautifull shots! Heck I didn't even know that I'll be able to get such beautifull shots in the front of the yard next to the driveway!
That really is one thing, you don't need a fantastic background setting if you really know what you're trying to get or if you're determined enough to get something great for the day.
This was beyond what I was trying to get for the day, so much better. If the bee didn't show up these roses might have looked awfully dull if I had to compare them.

There's Still A Few More.
He left me with a few good snaps! If I could I would give this little fella a salute!
Of-course this isn't something I would be able to get every time I go out trying to photograph plants but it surely gave me some sort of morale booster in trying plant photography at the very least.
It made me realize that even if one isn't great in one certain aspect, well you don't always have to be. More than likely the circumstances will be great and that alone can inspire greatness in yourself.
After all we are only human and we don't have to excel in everything we do. Isn't that why were a tribal species? So that the next who does excel at something can pick up where you are slacking?
Don't be too hard on yourself, try and try again. Succession might be just around the corner.

Goodbye Old Friend.
Hopefully I can see more of you after you've gone. I know I won't know if it's really you but the thought of it gives me joy!
Off you go!
