Yesterday we got rain for most of the day, but did get a couple of hours without. During that pause I went to Hamilton Cemetery to take advantage of the moody clouds.
Hamilton Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Ontario and holds quite a bit of history! Not only with the people laid to rest there, but it was also a battleground in the war of 1812. In recent years, mass graves have also been found in the cemetery and surrounding area. Created when there was mass outbreaks of disease in the 1800s.
When I got there, I immediately decided that black and white would be the best style for the mood and started snapping.
On of the last remains of the battle that happened here in 1812, is this old bunker on the side of a hill.
The last shot I took before leaving just didn't look right in black and white, so it is the only colored shot in the set.
