I found a fungus growing on a burnt log that was black in color. However, this mushroom plant does not turn black. This is very good learning for me.
Maybe this beautiful mushroom is called Schizophyllum.
The fungus Schizophyllum is a species of fungus in the family Schizophyllaceae in the genus Schizophyllum Fr. (1815). Mushrooms are white in color and have unique soft hairs.
