During a recent visit to Newport, RI I had the opportunity to visit one of the mansions on their "mansion walk". This particular one was named Rosecliff and completed in 1902 and cost $2.5 million at the time. The house has been featured in several movies like Amistad and The Great Gatsby. Magician Harry Houdini even performed there.
The details of the house were fabulous. Intricate stonework punctuated with artwork, statues and endless amenities. These pictures hardly do the property justice. Enjoy a peak into this treasure.
