I love sunsets
I had this idea that I'd be hunting for the sunset every single night as soon as we'd arrive in Spain. And although I did this for the first weeks after arrival, the not-so-clear sky made it impossible to shoot some clear and cool pictures of the sunset or moon phases. I thought that was an absolute shame when the June full moon arrived. Thankfully, I did capture some nice pictures when the sunset was near, too bad that the sunset wasn't at the side of the sea, which would have made some even better pictures.
There's something calming about the sea
When we stayed in our second Airbnb apartment, we were staying 25m from the sea. Meaning, that every evening, we'd walk on the boulevard and just enjoy the ocean breeze and calming sound of the waves. I love that sound, I could sit there for hours just listening to that and be totally zen afterward.
A lot of wind
During our week at this 2nd location, the wind was ON! One day it was so rough that both my daughter and I were almost blown away while walking at some open spots and I almost lost my purse twice that morning. I could barely talk, the crazy thing is I know these windy moments from Holland but only in combination with rain and storm, not when it's bloody hot at the same time! This is very deceiving as well as the wind makes you think it's cool, meanwhile the sun is possibly giving nasty burns if you aren't careful and use sunscreen.
Palmtrees
I don't know why, but when we moved to Budapest, I missed the palm trees so much. They give this feeling of holiday and I just like how they look, some look like giant pineapples and I love that haha. Tropical views make me feel a bit touristic until I realize, this is where we live!!! And those realizations make me feel intensely happy!
Palmtrees will be seen often in my pictures..
Good memories
Even though we didn't have 1 swim when we lived 25 m from the beach, I still have great memories because of the long walks and good talks we had. We really felt at peace those evenings and I'm glad we're spending more time actually being together as a family and talking together about all sorts of things. We are getting back into a more relaxed state of mind and ideas and plans are slowly coming to the surface again, which I love!
