Photographing animals is always a challenge, but the results are beautiful. It's not just about the photos, you can also be proud that you managed to get the animals to stay calm for the shot 😊
I grew up always surrounded by cats. My first cat was a tiny, wet, hungry, and scared kitten we found on the street. My mom took her in and fed her, and she decided to stay. She was my companion for 14 years, and her name was Snuppy. We initially thought she was a male, but when she had her first litter, we kind of realized she was not a male 😊. We always kept one of her kittens, so we always had 2 or 3 cats in the house. When Snuppy passed away, it was the most painful experience for me as a 17-year-old. I missed her so much, but my other cat, Jolly, was there for me during hard times. Then, one evening, I found Jolly on the street, hit by a car. He was dead. Writing and remembering this makes me so sad.
A few months later, a dog came into my life, and I decided to only have a dog, maybe adding another cat over time. But then I moved, and we decided to keep just Baou, who isn't a fan of cats. However, I'm still a big fan of cats, and if I see one, she's immediately on my lap, getting cuddled like a baby. Yes, I'm an animal lover, but I don't have space for more pets right now. Part of my plan is that when I move into a house, I'll have many more pets around me.
So, what’s the point of this story? Some time ago, my friend got a cat, and two days later, I was there, cuddling her. She is unbelievably cute and perfect in every way, and she's also a perfect model for the camera.
My friend decided she was going to have a Maine Coon. These gentle giants are famous for their large size, tufted ears, and luxurious fur. She is just perfect.
Interestingly, the kitten she chose has a unique background. Unlike purebred Maine Coons, this kitten's father isn’t a Maine Coon, resulting in a delightful mix of characteristics. She has an impressively large tail, which seems to have inherited the Maine Coon's signature bushy trait.
With her mesmerizing eyes and fluffy tail, she embodies everything wonderful about having a cat companion.
What truly makes Nami stand out is her incredible blend of playfulness and tranquility. She loves chasing her favorite toy mouse, but she's equally content curling up in her favorite chair, basking in the sunlight. One of her quirks is how she insists on helping with work, often sitting on her shoulder or supervising in the kitchen. It's really funny.
And why her name is Nami? My friend gave her this name because she is a big fan of the anime One Piece, where one of the characters is named Nami. Now, whenever I watch One Piece on Netflix and see Nami, I always think of the cat. From being small to already so big, and she's only 7 months old.
