Several thousand photos taken, nearly 100 km of walking with my camera, and three months during which I edited and published over 100 photos — my trip to Scotland was perhaps the most intense and productive photography trip I’ve ever taken. Today I’m presenting you with the very last post featuring photos from this trip, and it’s a very special one for me. After dipping my toes into fine art architectural photography last year for the first time, I decided in 2026 to make this exciting genre my new main focus. Glasgow’s modern architecture offered me numerous opportunities to put this plan into action. You can see one of my favorite buildings, the SEC Armadillo, in the first picture above.

Mehrere tausend Bilder vor Ort, fast 100km Fußweg mit meiner Kamera und drei Monate in denen ich über 100 Bilder bearbeitet und veröffentlicht habe – Meine Schottland-Reise war vielleicht mein intensivster und ertragreichster Foto-Trip, den ich jemals gemacht habe. Heute präsentiere ich euch den allerletzten Post mit Bildern von dieser Reise und es ist für mich ein ganz besonderer. Denn nachdem ich mich letztes Jahr schon etwas mit Fine Art Architekturfotografie beschäftigte, beschloss ich 2026 meinen Hauptfokus auf dieses spannende Genre zu legen. Die moderne Architektur von Glasgow bot mir zahlreiche Gelegenheiten, dieses Vorhaben in die Tat umzusetzen. Eines meiner Lieblingsgebäude, den SEC Armadillo seht ihr oben im ersten Bild.

The Riverside Museum was the building I was most looking forward to seeing. I love Zaha Hadid’s architectural style, and I particularly like this building with its jagged facade. That’s why I tried to capture it as a whole while also playing with the details of the facade. By the way, in the background you can see the SEC Armadillo from the first shot.

Das Riverside Museum war jenes Gebäude, auf das ich mich am meisten freute. Ich liebe den Architekturstil von Zaha Hadid und dieses Gebäude mit seiner gezackten Fassade gefällt mir besonders gut. Deshalb versuchte ich es, sowohl als Ganzes in Szene zu setzten, als auch mit den Details der Fassade zu spielen. Im Hintergrund seht ihr übrigens den SEC Armadillo aus der ersten Aufnahme.

The “OVO Hydro” multipurpose arena is just a short walk away and looks almost like a giant alien mothership. I especially liked how the semi-transparent facade reflected the sunlight.

Die Mehrzweck-Arena "OVO Hydro" befindet sich nur einen kurzen Fußweg entfernt und wirkt fast wie ein riesiges Alien-Mutterschiff. Mir gefiel besonders, wie die halbtransparente Fassade das Sonnenlicht reflektierte.

The last photo shows the bridge pier of the brand-new Swivelly Bridge, which I hadn't actually planned to photograph. But the setting sun cast such a beautiful light on the bridge that I decided to take advantage of it. I hope you like the style of these photos, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Das letzte Bild zeigt den Brückenpfeiler der brandneuen Swivelly Bridge, die ich eigentlich gar nicht geplant hatte, zu fotografieren. Aber das Licht der untergehenden Sonne warf so ein tolles Licht auf die Brücke, dass ich dies ausnutzte. Ich hoffe, der Stil dieser Aufnahmen gefällt euch und wünsche euch ein schönes Wochenende!
