History, tradition, culture, customs at ,,Romanian Soul,, Festival in Săvârșin, Arad county
Hello photography lovers
Today's post will be a bit different because I will share with you some snapshots taken at a traditional festival that took place in the commune of Săvârșin in the county of Arad, more precisely this festival was hosted by a large chain of stores in Romania inside the property of the Royal Castle in Săvârșin, yes, you heard right the Royal Castle gave its consent for this festival to take place there.
It is a traditional festival in which only local producers could participate, who had special spaces to bring their goods and to convince visitors that their products are 100% natural and very tasty, this chain of shops supports these local producers (no matter how developed they are) to be able to sell their products and to grow.
The festival space was divided into several areas, the concert area, the memory corner, the children's street, the craftsmen, the cinema, the village fair, everything thought out in detail.
But since I am posting in a community of photo lovers today I will show you moments, traditional objects, traditional dishes and lots of joy.
From the access road to the castle property, the raw green of the forest and the river flowing through the forest take you far away.
The place I entered was very close to the stage, so I quickly took a walk around to get some information about the event.
The atmosphere was great here in the afternoon and it was good to have a look at the stalls with traditional products and especially to taste them, the aim of this festival was to promote traditional products, so every producer offered you the opportunity to taste them.
That's what I like, combining taste with discovering producers I didn't know about before, yes, I even tasted many dishes and bought some of the products I really liked.
Since I've been tasting products, I had to see how some clay objects are made, here I can mention chess pieces, clay pots (making clay pots by hand can be an amazing experience).
In another area we were able to eat free apples, lots and lots of apples, and our joy was the corner of memories, here, in a fairytale setting, in a replica of a room from grandma's time, we were able to have our magnetic photos taken at the minute.
After sampling lots of produce, even natural juices, we took a break in the seating area and listened to folk songs sung by an amazingly experienced performer.
In conclusion, I can say that this festival was an extraordinary experience, perhaps also due to the fact that it took place in the courtyard of the Royal Castle in Săvârșin, besides this detail, a great contribution was also made by the organizers who took care of this festival.
