Objects in the childhood home become, with time, icons.
Hello everyone,
Having several very old items at home, I didn't think too much about it and chose an item I really cared about and went to a place I go to quite often when I want to relax.
We chose a sunny day, about 9 degrees was in the thermometers, honestly it didn't even feel cool because sitting in the sun was really relaxing.
The item I am showing today is considered a collector's item, now I am also very curious how many of you who have seen the post know what it is or have had one.
The place where I chose to take the photos is on the banks of the Mures River, here in western Romania.
The collector's item, as I call it, is a Charcoal Iron(I don't know if I translated it correctly,is an iron that runs on hot coals.).
In background you can see the Mures River.
Inside the iron they put hot coals.
How this iron works, very simple, as you can see in the pictures instead of the stones we put inside put hot coals or heated jar and close it back up, you have to wait until the iron heats up and then women decades ago ironed clothes.
Just as today we use those very efficient ironing stations, in my country, decades ago they used this iron.
Too much I can't write about this iron, for me it has a sentimental value (it is very valuable if I want to sell it, but I don't), my intention is to see if other people have seen something like this or maybe even used it.
