Just wanted to say happy new year everyone! I'm looking forward to 2022 being my first full year on Hive :)
We've had a good cold snap in western Canada so I've been taking a break from social media and doing my best to visit the various local waterfalls. I love seeing them in their winter coat, although I find them much more tough to photograph. The timing is hard to nail down - you want the perfect mix of ice and water for the most interesting photo. Sometimes the waterfalls are 99% frozen, which is really cool to look at, but not that great for photos!
Here are three of my favorites. The last one I took last winter, although it was still taken in 2021 and only recently edited.
Steelhead Falls:
Cypress Canyon:
Kennedy Falls:
Let me know which one is your favorite!
