Hi!
Today I will show you the photos taken on the way to the Aktru gorge.
It is not possible to get to the place in one day from Barnaul to the gorge along the Chuisky tract. Firstly, it is very long in time, and secondly, a sharp drop in altitude is poorly perceived by the human body.
Therefore, there is a tourist base called "Nomad" on the outskirts of the Kurai steppe.
It consists of several large houses made of logs. The houses are spacious, with two floors. You can spend the night there and spend a day or two relaxing from the road. There is a large dining room located in the yurt. The food is very tasty, with a local Altai flavor.
On the way to the gorge, we arrived at the Nomad late in the evening, it was already dark. But on this day, some kind of folk music group came there with a concert And there were also a bunch of bikers who came to the base on their motorcycles. It was all practically in the dark. Motorcycle headlights served as light sources. There was neither the strength nor the opportunity to shoot all this. We just went to sleep. And in the morning we said goodbye to the base and transferred to cross-country trucks.
The sky was covered with white clouds all day. It was unusual to observe monotonously white skies and dark mountains.
At the entrance to the gorge, an insurmountable barrier stood in front of us - a wooden bridge over the Aktru river was damaged by the current.
Glaciers melt and from time to time the river suddenly overflows if a downpour begins in the mountains.
I had to walk the rest of the way. But we were able to admire the local beautiful nature.
There is a lot of blooming "ivan tea". Tall stems with pink flowers form small thickets.
The only mountains that can be better than mountains are those that you haven't been to yet!
