Hello.
How are you all my dear friends? I hope you are all well. In today's post, I have shared the One of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in India “Dwarka”. Dwarka is an ancient city. It is located on the banks of the river Gomti in the north-western state of Gujarat. Dwarka is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. If you know about Hindu mythology, you know about Dwarka's association with Lord Krishna, one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Dwarka was a part of the ancient kingdom of Krishna and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga temple is also located in Dwarka.
For this reason, it has a significant religious significance and attracts thousands of pilgrims throughout the year. The beach side and the beach are an additional tourist attraction. Dwarka is one of the four most important religious places for Hindus and one of the seven oldest religious cities in India.
Dwarka means 'Gateway to Heaven' in Sanskrit, as Dwar means gate and "Ka" refers to Lord Brahma. According to legend, Lord Krishna settled in Dwarka with his Yadav clan. After his death as an incarnation of Krishna, the whole of Dwarka was submerged in the sea. Dwarka is famous as the 'House of Lord Krishna'.
According to legend, this city is described as the capital of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna killed the cruel king Kansa at Mathura. To avenge Kansa's death, Kansa's father-in-law, Jarasandhe, attacked Krishna's kingdom 17 times and to avoid further clashes, Lord Krishna moved his capital from Mathura to Dwarka.
Which is one of the four pedestals established by Adi Shankaracharya. The magnificent pinnacle of the temple has many inscriptions and sculptures attached to it. Decorations are carved in 72 pillars supporting the main temple of the temple. The temple observes many rituals and organizes fairs on religious festivals.
Apart from temples, Dwarka is also popular for beaches. Just north of Dwarka, Shivrajpur Beach was recently awarded the certificate of International Blue Flag for safety and cleanliness. Scuba diving is one of the most popular activities for those who want to see the underwater remains of Dwarka. It is a must see place as it is one of the oldest lighthouses.
