The size of this pot is less than 8 inches. The plant with a single stem in the middle was recently given to me by my neighbour, since then I have been noticing that something that looks like a wild weed has grown around this main plant in the pot. Initially, there were no flowers on it. I tried removing it several times but within a few days the pot would again be filled with this strange green grass, perhaps the roots and seeds of this plant were deeply mixed in the pot's soil.
Then some 10-15 days ago, one day I saw very small yellow flowers blooming on this grass, but I did not have a phone at that time. Then later for many days either those flowers did not bloom or were wilted by the time I saw them. But then this afternoon once again I saw these flowers blooming so I immediately brought out my phone and took some pictures of them.
But let me tell you that these are much smaller than you think. For these I can say that I have never seen such small and beautiful flowers before. Although I take pictures with my phone, the quality is usually not very good, but for this flower, I had to take more than 50 pictures because none of the pictures were coming out clearly, but after so much effort, I finally got some good pictures.
Oh, by the way, This is not a grass but a herb known as Indian Purslane. It is quite similar to the more widespread Chicken Weed. July to October is its flowering time, maybe that's why I haven't seen flowers on it before. But now that they have bloomed, they have bloomed very beautifully. They are so small that even if you look at them from two steps away, you will not be able to see their flower-like shape; rather, they will just look as if they are like very small yellow pearls in the grass. 🌼
