While we were exploring Norfolk island, we found the crystal rock pools. But when we finally found this spot it was high tide and the waves were smashing over the rock pool so it was way too dangerous to climb down the cliff and get close to the rock pool.
I did how ever have a ND filter that I could attach to my tamron lens on my Sony a7iii.
Now I have never tried to shoot long exposure at the beach before but after some playing around I found the settings 1/10 f22 iso100 worked pretty good in the middle of the day.
The water flowing over the rocks made for a nice quick little water fall. And the long exposure made the water all nice and fluffy while the rocks and solid objects remained in focus.
I didn't have a tripod so I just rested my camera on a post at the top of the cliff.
The end results turned out pretty cool.
