Hello everybody! I hope you are all well.
Last weekend I made another trip to Garopaba.
The reason this time was to witness my daughter's dance performance.
A small belly dance festival with various groups from all over Brazil.
Obviously I took the opportunity to take some pictures.
Dance gives us unique opportunities with its lights, colors, clothing and, of course, the movement of bodies.
At the entrance, a sign forbidding the use of cameras put me off.
So I started shooting with my smartphone, which doesn't have a good camera. But I soon realized that no one was in control and I pulled my camera out of my backpack just as my daughter and her tribal dance began to perform.
She started as a child dancing hip hop and participating in various companies and festivals. Today she has other occupations besides motherhood and this was her first performance in a long time.
The wait was worth it. She and her group won first place.

Since I was using the camera, I experimented with slow shutter speeds and some double exposures.

Olá a todos! Espero que estejam todos bem.
No passado fim de semana fez uma nova viagem a Garopaba.
O motivo desta vez era presenciar a apresentação de dança de minha filha.
Um pequeno festival de dança de ventre com vários grupos de todo Brasil.
Obviamente aproveitei para fazer algumas fotos.
A dança nos dá oportunidades únicas com suas luzes, cores, vestuário e, claro, o movimento dos corpos.
Na entrada, uma placa proibindo o uso de câmeras me desalentou.
Assim, comecei a fotografar com meu smartphone, que não possui uma boa câmera. Mas logo percebi que ninguém estava controlando e puxei minha câmera da mochila bem na hora que começava a apresentação de minha filha e sua dança tribal.
Ela começou de criança dançando hip hop e participando de várias companhias e festivais. Hoje ela tem outras ocupações além da maternidade e esta foi a sua primeira apresentação em muito tempo.
A espera valeu a pena. Ela e seu grupo ganharam o primeiro lugar.
Papai cheio de orgulho 😅.
Uma vez que estava usando a câmera, aproveitei para experimentar com baixa velocidade de disparo e algumas duplas exposições.
