Here are some pictures I took yesterday of the flooding of the Waalkade and the Spiegelwaal in Nijmegen. Nothing to worry about. It's made to overflow when the Waal rises.
The Spiegelwaal
The Spiegelwaal is on the other bank. Made several years ago specifically for this kind of situations. Normally it's a nice place to walk. Now the water gets all the space.
Forbidden
Because of the high tide, the area has been fenced off and it is currently forbidden to go there.
