Greetings fellow Hivers!
Does your time also fly ?
It's been a while, can't belive way over 2 months, it feels more like few weeks and I still have hidden local gems to share with you what I found on my tour thru Slovenia on my holidays back in August.
Time flies and I try to use every bit of it to things I want to do, accomplish and waste as little of it as possible. Doing useful things like cleaning the apartment, walking or hunting mushrooms in our mother nature, hiking, reading, cooking, baking healthy cookies, learning and visiting friends.
I started the second week off holidays few weeks after first and with a roadtrip to our Bela krajina, took long unknown and definitely not the shortest roads to there. Took my time, stopped for the views, got kind of lost a few times and passed many hills, beautiful old buildings, made myself a coffee or two and about 4 hours later in hopes for no rain I finally used uncle Google and asked if there are any sources of river nere me.
It gave me a few answers about 10-25 kilometers away, but river Krupa was totally unknown for me, never heard of it, in location I don't belive I ever passed or visited. Although Slovenia is a tiny little country, it has a ton of tiny villages, rivers and it's hidden beautiful gems.
It's located a few minutes drive away from village Semic and I just found out there is also a cave just by the source I overlooked and didn't even know about it.
Was a bit in a hurry as sun started going down, there was possibility of rain, about 20 kilometers to go and I still had to find a place where I will set up my tent for the night. I parked my car and started to follow a hiking path to the source.
You would expect a water fall of some sort, but it comes from the ground, out of a rock from depths unknown..
It was something I did not expect, something unique, mysterious and stunning!
Took the time to continue the path, met a few travelers and tryed to discover more of it's beauty in shortest time possible. Writing this I know I will need to revisit it and take the time exploring the village.
Soon I found out that it's not just a beautiful source of the river but I was following path along side of a tiny canyon with lots of history, ducks, beavers and other friendly explorers.
After an hour the sun started going down and I headed back to my blue pearl to drive to the south and find a place to sleep for the night I will share in next post, can give you a hint I was lucky at finding the perfect spot, again! :)
My country is still suprising me with it's beauties, hidden pearls, uniqueness and findings every single time I go for a roadtrip. I'm not interested in mainstream locations, on my way to find as much of it as possible and got a few new parts to explore and figure out it's unique beauties and features.
This year I started exploring my home suroundings and nature at most as it teaches us, feeds us, heals us and makes the living possible and easier.
I hope you enjoyed, Thank you for stopping by and taking time to read.
If you have any questions, please let me know
Wishing everyone a nice, positive, fresh start of the week.
Till next time..
Stay awesome.. Happy, Strong & Healthy my friends!
