This series features a few of my photographs from some of my favorite places around the East Coast.
The Tracks
This was a photo I took along an old railroad in Patapsco Valley State Park. It was just starting to rain and the leaves were piled up on the tracks. I loved the fall weather, the chirping of birds in the trees above and the solitude this place brought.
The Rock
I was driving with my partner down a back country road in West Virginia and saw this through the trees. I of course made us pull over on the side of the road, hike down to the rocky river bed and spend some time admiring this awesome rock formation.
The Bridge
This is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which I've traveled over more times than I can can count. There's a little park tucked away called Terrapin Park. For a year during the pandemic, I lived on Kent Island, Maryland and would travel to this park for hikes, runs, or just a chance to get some fresh air.
The Dunes
On my way to Cape Hatteras, I made a stop at Jockey's Ridge State Park, in North Carolina. I felt like I was immediately transported to an apocalyptic world full of sand and solitude, with a bustling town just steps away. This is one of my favorite places to stop on the way to the beach.
