Wildlife photography is the most challenging form of photography I have ever done.
To say it's like "hunting with a camera" is an oversimplification by far.
It's more like hunting for an animal closer to its own terms while managing ever changing camera settings on the fly.
Photographing wild animals is also one of the most intense inroads to a connection with nature I have ever experienced. It requires me to use all of my senses in ways I never used to know were possible.
Please enjoy these images of hawks I was fortunate enough to get during two seperate trips to the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge two years ago. I managed to click nearly 2,000 frames during those two visits. Needless to say, I have quite a few images of hawks.
